These terms and conditions govern all bookings with www.quaichexperience.co.uk (the company).  Any booking made or placed by you, whether through the Company’s website or otherwise, shall be deemed an offer by you to rent the relevant accommodation subject to these terms & conditions.  The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and is responsible for all payment due from the party.  Booking services with the company are currently only available to persons who are least 18 years old.  By submitting a booking you warrant and confirm to us that you have read these terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

In order to confirm your booking, a deposit of 30% of the total cost of rental or full payment if booking within 8 weeks of departure) must be paid at the time of booking.  Payments should be made by bank transfer to the Company’s bank account.  Booking confirmation for the accommodation will be sent to you by email or if requested by post.  The balance of the cost of the property you have booked (as shown on your booking confirmation letter) must be received by us no later than 8 weeks before the commencement date of your stay at that property.  If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you.  In this case the cancellation charges set out below (cancellation by client) will be payable by you.

CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT

If you wish to cancel your booking for whatever reason, the party leader must notify us in writing in the first instance to:

Cancellation of the accommodation will only be effective from the date of receipt, by us, of your written cancellation advice. If you cancel, once your booking has been confirmed, the following charges apply:

eight weeks or more before your arrival at the property

– forfeit of full deposit

within eight weeks of your arrival at the property

– the full cost of your booking.

Travel Insurance is strongly recommended.

CANCELLATION BY THE COMPANY

If deemed necessary the Company reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the accommodation booking. In this unlikely event you will be offered the choice of renting alternative accommodation through the Company (subject to availability) with the price difference payable/refundable as appropriate, or of receiving a full refund of all monies paid to the Company. No compensation is payable by the Company.

BEHAVIOUR

Please note that a siesta period during the summer hours between 1pm and 4pm is common practice by locals. We ask that, during this time, noise levels be kept to a minimum. Our accommodation is in a residential area and, while we expect you to enjoy your holiday and the outdoor dining/pool activities, we ask you to respect your neighbours and act in a courteous and considerate manner at all times. This is also a country/working community and ‘bedtime’ for the locals is not late.  Please therefore keep noise to a minimum after 11pm. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and the members of your party do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property belonging to others. In such circumstances the accommodation owner’s and the Company have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf, in which case the Company's responsibility to you ceases immediately and there can be no refunds, no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses you may incur as a result. Further, you will be liable to reimburse the Company for any expenses whatsoever it incurs as a result of your behaviour.

YOUR COMMITMENT TO US

Only those persons named on the booking form, may use and stay at the property booked. In the event that the maximum number allowed at the property is exceeded, without our prior agreement, we reserve the right to terminate the booking immediately of the party in question.  It is your responsibility to advise us immediately of any delays to your travel arrangement.  You must ensure the property is left fully secure whenever vacant - doors, windows and shutters must be properly closed and locked. No responsibility can be taken for any items stolen from you during your holiday and you should ensure you have adequate insurance for all occupants of the property.  At the end of your holiday you must leave the property, furnishings and equipment in a clean and tidy condition and in the same condition it was in when you arrived.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A NO SMOKING POLICY INSIDE ALL PROPERTIES.

The client must report to the owner without delay any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, services or appliances in the property. Arrangements for repair and/or replacement will be made as rapidly as possible.

Your vehicles and their accessories and contents are left entirely at your own risk. 

At the end of their holiday, the clients bind and oblige themselves to vacate the said cottages without demand.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

We will provide you with accommodation that is as much as possible described accurately in our literature or on our website.  All self-catering accommodation is equipped with sufficient crockery and cutlery.  All properties have a refrigerator and cooking facilities.  All linen (except beach towels) is provided.  The cost of Gas, water and electricity is included in the rental price.  If you have requested a cot or high chair these will be available to you on arrival at your accommodation.  Possession of the property will not normally be earlier than 3pm on the day of arrival and departure no later than 10am on the day of departure, unless by arrangement.  This allows us adequate time between bookings to ensure we can prepare the accommodation to meet the standards we expect our clients to receive.  If you do require additional time in the property, we will try as much as possible to help with your request.  Pool size is approximate and as a guide only. Please note that sun creams have a detrimental effect on the pool water and for health reasons you should always shower before using a swimming pool.  From time to time, there may be other circumstances that are beyond our control for which we cannot be held responsible. Facilities such as air conditioning, blocked toilets, swimming pools, will from time to time need maintenance and wherever possible this will be undertaken at minimum inconvenience to you. Local authorities and utilities from time to time may need to undertake essential repairs and turn off electrical and water supplies with minimal and sometimes no notice. In the event of these circumstances, no compensation is payable.

AIR-CONDITIONING

The air-conditioning units must only be used while you are in the property, with all windows and doors kept closed. Under no circumstances must the units be left on continuously while the property is unoccupied.

INSECTS, PETS AND WILDLIFE

Please remember you are in a hot country and particularly in the summer months, ants, beetles and mosquitoes are common and can be a nuisance but are easily deterred by powders and sprays that can be purchased locally. In some areas dogs may bark at night and cats can be a nuisance, please do not therefore encourage them by leaving food out for them. We do not allow pets in any of our properties.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

It is your responsibility to advise us immediately of any delays to your travel arrangements. It is your responsibility to arrange for air travel and car hire for your holiday. We cannot be held responsible for any delays or cancellations to these arrangements. You are required to have a valid passport on leaving the United Kingdom and entering Croatia, you should therefore ensure that you have all the correct documentation.

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOUR PASSPORT IS IN ORDER!

TRAVEL INSURANCE

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in place.

LIABILITY

We do not accept any liability in respect of death, bodily injury or illness of any of the named parties on the booking form or any of their guests except when caused by negligent acts and or omissions of the company. We shall afford every assistance to any guest who, through misadventure, suffers illness, bodily injury or death whilst on holiday with us.
